The primary mission of Normandy Hadrontherapy is the design, development, manufacturing, installation, industrialisation and subsequent commercialisation of a first hadrontherapy research and treatment system based on cyclotron technology.
Hadrontherapy is a form of radiotherapy that uses beams of accelerated protons and ions to treat radio-resistant tumours.

The purpose of this innovative technology

To improve the destruction of cancer cells while minimising damage to the patient’s healthy tissue and organs not yet affected by the tumour. Hadrontherapy is used to treat radio-resistant and/or inoperable cancers at a still relatively localised stage of progression. It can therefore be relevant for a large number of patients.

Our first client CYCLHAD

In Caen, our first centre being equipped with the C400 IONS is taking shape within CYCLHAD, a hadrontherapy treatment and research centre, in partnership with the Centre François Baclesse.

For this centre, we are delivering a multi-particle installation (proton, helium, carbon) comprising three rooms with fixed horizontal beamlines, one of which is dedicated to fundamental physics research.
