  • Accelerator technology is IBA’s DNA
  • In charge of the design of the C400 cyclotron and heavy-ion beamline
  • Treatment room equipment based on IBA software and hardware
  • In charge of the heavy-ion system market

Sigmaphi

  • In charge of the study of the cryogenic coil, a key component of the C400 superconducting cyclotron
  • Brings the industrial expertise required for the design of superconducting magnets while being a direct investor in the success of the Caen centre
  • Financial commitment through its equity participation in 2019

Cyclhad

  • Proton therapy centre hosting the Baclesse medical teams
  • Future heavy-ion therapy centre
  • International research centre for particle therapy, fundamental physics and industry
  • Hosting of radiobiology offices, laboratories and temporary animal facilities

Saphyn

  • A major institutional and operational pillar in the hadrontherapy project
  • Specifically responsible for essential support functions for the project, particularly in strategy management and quality assessment, as well as human resources, health and safety management.

Région Normandie

  • Strategic initiator and financial guarantor
  • Its support aims to transform the Normandy region — which already hosts the GANIL — into a European leader in hadrontherapy
  • It coordinates the involvement of other local stakeholders, such as the departmental councils (14, 50 and 61) and the Caen la Mer Urban Community, within SAPHYN’s capital

SFPI / FPIM

  • The Société Fédérale de Participations et d’Investissement (SFPIM) is Belgium’s sovereign wealth fund.
  • It believes that taking social and governance issues into account makes a significant contribution to economic progress.
  • SFPIM invests in a wide range of companies and sectors, including its traditional sectors (life sciences, healthcare, finance and aerospace).
  • Its investment in Normandy Hadrontherapy is linked to the company’s ecosystem.
